Lot of 2 fish sculptures (*) in cracked ceramic 1930s - Le Jan (unsigned) . A crackle is the spiderweb-like pattern of cracks in the glaze of ceramic. This pair of Art Deco carp are imposing in their size. These sculptures have lived and have a decorative past. Note some traces of use, an original stain, exterior chips on one side of a carp (see photos). These beautiful fish are in their original condition. It’s a beautiful favorite with signs of the past, but isn’t that the principle of our existence?
